Trees are among the longest-living and most majestic organisms on Earth – they can outlive us humans by generations. With their diversity of forms and sizes, they have always been symbols of permanence and strength. In nearly all cultures and mythologies, trees have been attributed special powers – a fascination that remains palpable to this day.
At Arbor Art GmbH, it is our mission to treat and care for these impressive organisms with respect and a clear focus on sustainability.
Sustainable tree care means that trees are supported long-term in their natural form and health to enrich our living environment for generations to come. Professional care and targeted measures ensure that trees remain stable and resilient, able to thrive even under changing conditions in urban spaces.
It is not always easy to reconcile clients’ expectations with the needs of trees. But we are pleased to serve as mediators in this process, finding solutions that meet the increasingly complex demands on trees in urban areas without compromising their long-term health.
Beyond their aesthetic and functional role, trees make an indispensable contribution to environmental protection by sequestering CO₂ and counteracting climate change. Every tree is a living investment in the future, and proper care secures its role as a valuable resource in our environment.

Silvio Rütter discovered his love for trees and tree climbing early in life. After completing his apprenticeship as a forestry worker, he worked as a tree care professional for various companies in Switzerland.
In early 2009, he moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There he worked for four years for Davey Tree – one of the largest tree care companies in North America – as a team leader and project manager. He also trained newly hired employees in tree care. During this time, he completed the following in-house courses with certification:
- Advanced Rigging
- Team Leader
- Aerial Rescue
He also passed the following examinations conducted by the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture):
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
In 2014, he founded Arbor Art Ltd in Edmonton. At the end of 2016, he returned to Switzerland for family reasons and now lives with his wife, daughter, and son in Richterswil, ZH.
In 2017–18, he completed his training as a Tree Care Specialist with Federal Certificate of Proficiency and founded Arbor Art GmbH here in Switzerland.
